Help free the Arfan Masih family

This project aims to liberate the Arfan Masih family—seven members including Arfan, his wife, two sons, and three daughters—from 25 years of bonded labor in a brick kiln in Pakistan. Trapped in a cycle of debt and exploitation, they are forced to work under harsh conditions for meager wages. The project seeks to raise €2,150 to pay off their total debt and provide a new business (€1,100) to help them start a fruits and vegetables selling business. This initiative will not only restore their freedom but also offer a sustainable path to financial independence.

For over two decades, the Arfan family has been enslaved in a brick kiln under a debt of €2,150. Every day, they are expected to make up to 9,000 bricks by hand—a near-impossible target. They are paid only PKR 900 (approx. €3.00) per 1,000 bricks. In ideal (yet unrealistic) circumstances, they could earn about €27 per day. However, due to harsh climate conditions and physical limits, they typically manage around 2,000 bricks daily, earning only about €6.00.
